Etter kva eg har forstått, var det ikkje lengda frå hoppkant til kulkant det vart snakka om, men mengda med snø. Ein har visstnok aldri tidlegare brukt so mykje snø til å byggje eit konkurransehopp på den måten. Les på http://www.jonolssoninvitational.com/JOI2006.html under Arena:

"For JOI 2006 I had to loose the double jump in order to get enough snow for the biggest contest jump ever made. The snow needed to build this years jump has been calculated at 15,000 cubic meters. To give you an idea of how much snow that is, last years second jump was calculated at 4,000 cubic meters.

The jump was somewhat of a stepup allowing the biggest airtimes with the greatest amount of safety possible. So, the length wasn't as impressive, but the goal was to make airtime something that no one had ever seen before."
