Det var 08/09-modellen av XXL som jeg testa. Helt vill ski... Sammenliknet den med Salomon Rocker og Nordica Jah love. Her er det jeg skrev:

Impressions of Salomon Rockers, Nordica Jah Love and -09 Dynastar LP XXL 194

Got to Demo these friday, just 1-2 runs on each, but impressions anyway.

Me: 6´0´´, 185, snowboarder back as skier for last 3 seasons, everyday ski 186 LP, 185 Praxis on better days.

Conditions: Windblown pow, crust, chunks and crap, pockets of fresh in between, groomer runout in nice but hard condition.

Disclaimer: First impressions, not exhaustive, longest ski I´ve been on before was the 190 Katana.

Solly Rocker 192.The term flaciddity comes to mind on the way up the t-bar. The nose on these things just flop around like crazy. Impressions in difficult conditions are that these are heavy, a bit uninspiring but confident skis. Tails feel softish, but a very solid feel underfoot. In pow, these are awsome, very fast from one turn into another, snappy and very easy to handle both in untracked and tracked areas. Groomer runout is a complete disaster, they feel unbalanced and heavy. In a way more difficult to handle than my Praxis.

Nordica Jah Love 185.FAT! Going up the lift, it feels like my legs are being forced apart, and they are, by a waist of 140mm and nose of ridiculous size. They feel very unvieldy going up, but going down, they´re very easy to handle, like doing short turns and are nimble in any type of pow. They don´t make you want to go mach 10, but seem to tolerate pretty high speeds without trying to force you into going any faster than you normally would. Their name seems very appropriate, easy going and happy, no stress. On groomers they are s-l-o-w from edge to edge. Tip them over, wait, wait, wait, here they come, and then the edge completely fails to grip on anything hard.

Dynastar LP XXL 194.Going up, these feel solid. Pretty narrow compared to the others, more like a "real" ski. First turn in hard, leftover windblown crap, "are these gonna turn at all?" then discovering that yes, they will turn, but you don´t have to. At all. Make two turns were you made ten on the Jah Loves and five on the Rockers. Absorb any kind of bump, track, ice sheet or whatever and just keep going. I thought my 186 LP´s were stable, but now i know what stable is. Surprisingly they are also very well mannered, come to a stop when you want to and can even make short turns if you force them a bit. On the groomers they arch long turns, and give everyone the distinct impression that you are skiing groomers just out of necessity. You have somewhere else to go, but you will be going there fast. Oh, yeah, top sheets look like shit, but so does the ones on the Jah Love, and you´re not getting these for the graphics now, are you? If you are a decent skier, these will make you look ten times better.
