It is misunderstanding, Endre.Rax skis are hell fast, provided you are on a steep slope. Both freeride or piste.Fins control the direction. The speed is to be controlled by choosing proper trace, turning, etc.
Rax can be much faster than traditional ski in a steep couloir with fresh snow as you need no "jump turns" and ride in a fall line instead.
