In may your best options for skiing are in the mountains along the west coast, as well as Northern Norway, where it is often possible to do ski trips through the summer.Hurrungane (around Turtagrø), Strynefjellet, Sunnmørsalpene often have good conditions for spring skiing. Not so familiar with places closer to Drammen, but someone else might have suggestions.Stryn is good for lift served summer skiing aswell, opening around end of may, so you should look out for that.Getting skis cheap should not be a problem, since there will probably be end-of-season sales. The cheapest option might be to order from some webshop to an address in copenhagen though.

Juvas, just by Galdhøpiggen has summer skiing aswell. Other then that, Lyngen in northern Norway is probably the best place to ski in may. Check out www.msmg.org for guided tours. I guarantee you it's better than Mt Buller in Australia wink

You can ski almost everywhere, as long as you walk a little

There is not many skiresorts open in may so if its that kind of skiing the options are kind a limited. Check out Folgefonna, Stryn and Galdhøpiggen/Juvass and see when they open for the seaseon. If you're into backcountryskiing may is the perfect time to go skiing. Close to Drammen you have Gaustatoppen. About 2 hours. And you find runs for most skill levels there. If you have several weeks you should really consider the areas already mentioned here. Lyngen is awesome in may. From mid may you have the midnight sun so you can go skiing 24h a day if you like:-) I still remember trips there last winter, 1 o'clock in the night, the sun is up and you ride in powder!

thanks :)
